DO.ERS

(2019-2020)

DO.ERS was a short-lived interview podcast that I produced in 2019 and early 2020. It was a COVID pandemic casualty that never returned after I thought I was taking a “brief” intermission in early 2020.

In 2019 I was itching to get back to an interview style podcast in the spirit of Around the Wood Stove (2010-2014) and Elusive Moose (2015-2016), a business focused podcast I produced with my friend Molly Connolly around the logistics of software consultancies. Anne Kirby and I developed the concept of DO.ERS for The Candy Factory, our coworking space in Lancaster, PA. In fact, all of the voices you hear during the intro are Candy Factory members who were hanging out at one of our (in)famous Friday afternoon Happy Hours.

Who are the folks in and around Central PA who contribute to helping the area be the great place it is to live, work, and play? Who are the DO.ERS? When COVID hit and businesses closed, I decided to not take the show virtual. I felt like the interviews would lose energy so I decided to pause. Unfortunately, by the time we were allowed to gather in person again, I didn’t have the capacity to bring the show back. Maybe someday.
